A reminder to all of our Sunset Ridge Community that our Counseling Center will be hosting a Parent University on "Tools for Suicide Prevention" tomorrow night, Tuesday, September 17. The evening will begin at 5:30 with free hot dogs and drinks, followed by a presentation in the auditorium at 6:00 PM.

Parent volunteers are needed for vision screenings on Thursday, September 19, from 8-10 AM and 10-12 AM. If you are available and interested, please visit this link and enter your name in one of the available slots.

Also, remember to mark your calendars for Parent Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, September 25 (4-8 PM) and Thursday, September 26 (4-7:30 PM)!

The Jordan School District Board of Education would like to invite you to the Parent University Open House on Thursday, September 19th  from 7:00-8:30 pm at the JATC South Campus (12723 S. Park Ave, Riverton UT 84065). This open house will focus on giving your student resources for high school and beyond. There will be college admissions reps from every college/university in the State of Utah, military recruiters, JATC representatives, and High School Counselors to help navigate life in and after high school. Come learn about scholarships, admissions deadlines for this upcoming school year, concurrent enrollment, FAFSA, JATC programs, Pathways to Professions, and many other post-secondary opportunities that are available to you and your student.

SRMS Parent University -- Tools for Suicide Prevention

Tuesday September 17 at 5:30 p.m.

Join us for hot dogs, chips & a drink at 5:30 followed by a Q.P.R presentation at 6:00 p.m. QPR is designed to give individuals the tools they need to recognize warning signs of suicide as well as questioning, persuading and referring individuals in crisis. Presentation will be given by School Psychologist Joe Myers.
